「Mention Trends」（formerly "Post Volume Trends"） allows you to monitor the trend in the number of posts (mentions) on X (Twitter) that include specified keywords.

  • You can view the trend in the number of posts containing specified keywords, broken down by hour, day, week, or month.
  • You can define the date range for trend analysis, enabling you to review post volume trends from over a year ago.
  • Time-series data can be downloaded as a CSV file.
  • You can specify the data acquisition period and display unit (month, week, day).
    • For the period, you can select any date range from March 21, 2006, onwards.
    • For the display unit (month, week, day), you can choose "Hour," "Day," "Week," or "Month." The average post volume will be displayed based on the selected unit.
tip

Since hashtags can also be specified as keywords, you can similarly obtain the trend in hashtag post volume.

Viewing Post Volume Trends​

  1. Click Analytics → Mention Trends.
  2. Search using the keyword for which you want to view the post volume trend. A graph displaying the trend for the entered keyword will appear.

Searching for Posts on X (Twitter)​

While the content of posts cannot be viewed within SocialDog, you can open the X (Twitter) search screen with your entered keywords.

  1. Click Analytics → Mention Trends.
  2. Search using the keyword for which you want to view the post volume trend.
  3. Click the ... button on the far right of the box displaying the keyword and post count.
  4. Click Search on X (Twitter). A search screen will open with your entered keyword, appended with since: and until: operators.
