Conduct a campaign to manually register applicants.
For campaigns with complex entry requirements (e.g., hashtag posts, combination of multiple conditions), the "Manually Register Participants" campaign type, which allows bulk registration of participants via CSV, is convenient.
What You Can Do with This Campaign Type
- Manually add participants by uploading a participant list as a CSV file.
- Participant lists can be created within SocialDog.
- You can flexibly design entry requirements by editing CSV files with tools like Excel to determine if conditions are met.
- Data created with external tools can also be utilized.
Examples of Supported Entry Requirements
For example, you can run campaigns such as:
- Hashtag Campaign
- Post with a specified hashtag
- Participate by following
- Collaboration Campaign
- Follow multiple accounts
- Repost a specified post
- Contest Campaign
- Post with a specified hashtag or keyword
- Follow multiple accounts
Workflow
Before Campaign Start
- (Optional) Set up Keyword Monitor
- If posts containing hashtags or keywords are an entry requirement, create a Keyword Monitor to collect the necessary posts for participation. For details, refer to Collect Posts Containing Keywords (Keyword Monitor).
After Campaign End
- Create a "Manually Register Participants" campaign (can be created at any time).
- After the entry period ends, create a participant list (CSV file).
- Extract users who meet the entry requirements and create a CSV file where each line contains one participant's X (Twitter) username.
- Import the CSV file to register participants.
- Conduct drawing / Adjust winners.
- Send DMs to winners.
Creating a "Manually Register Participants" Campaign
- From the menu, click [Campaigns].

- Click [New Campaign].
- Click [Manually Register Participants].
- Enter the following information:
- Campaign Name: This is for internal management within SocialDog (not visible to participants).
- Entry Period: Collect users who reposted within the set period as participants.
- SNS Account to Host Campaign: Used as the sender when sending DMs.
- Click [Create Campaign].
Preparing the CSV File for Participant Import
First, download the data of users who meet the conditions as a CSV file. The download location for the CSV file varies depending on the entry requirements.
Next, filter or combine the contents of the CSV file to create a CSV file of participants who meet the entry requirements.
Download CSV Files for Posts/Users Containing Hashtags/Keywords
- You can collect relevant hashtags using the "Keyword Monitor" feature and download participant information as a CSV file.
- You can filter by information included in the acquired CSV file (e.g., post content, post date/time, follower count).
For details, refer to Collect Posts Containing Keywords (Keyword Monitor).
Download CSV Files for Users Who Liked, Reposted, or Quote-Reposted a Target Post
- Using the "Post Reactions" feature, you can obtain a list of users who liked, reposted, or quote-reposted a specific post.
- You can filter by information included in the acquired CSV file (e.g., quote repost content, post date/time, follow date/time, follower count).
For details, refer to Check and React to Users Who Engaged with Your Posts.
Download CSV Files for Users Who Followed a Target Account
- You can download a list of followers and followings for accounts linked to SocialDog as a CSV file.
- You can filter by information included in the acquired CSV file (e.g., follow date/time, follower count).
For details, refer to Manage Followers.
CSV files downloadable from SocialDog's "Inbox," "Followers," and "Post Reactions" may sometimes be used directly as a participant list without further processing.
It's smoother to extract only posts within the entry period using a spreadsheet tool (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) before compiling them into a CSV file.
Create a CSV File Containing Only Users Who Meet All Entry Requirements
Consolidate data for each entry requirement into a single file, exclude users who do not meet all conditions, and create the final list of participants.
CSV File Format
- Each line must contain one user.
- The CSV file should only contain usernames. Including or excluding the leading
@is acceptable. - The text encoding format must be Shift-JIS or UTF-8.
Importing Participants via CSV File
- On the campaign's participant list screen, click [Import CSV File].
- Follow the on-screen instructions to select the CSV file for import.
- Click [Import CSV File].
If you import a CSV file while participants are already registered, existing "Participants" will be deleted. The contents of the "Winners" and "Provisional Winners" lists will not be updated.
You can import up to 10,000 users per import.
