Overview of Credit Card Payments
You can pay for SocialDog's subscription fees using a credit card.
Supported Brands
You can use credit cards displaying the following brand logos:
- Visa
- Mastercard
- AmericanExpress
- JCB (for JPY transactions only)
- Diners Club
- Discover
Changing Your Credit Card Information
You can change the credit card used for future billing cycles.
- Click the menu at the bottom left and navigate to [Plan / Payments].
- Click [Change] to access your payment method details.
- Enter your new credit card information.
- Click [Change].
It is not possible to change the credit card for charges that have already been processed.
Deleting Your Credit Card Information
You can delete your credit card information if you are currently on a Free plan or if your Paid plan has been canceled.
- Click the menu at the bottom left and navigate to [Plan / Payments].
- Click [Change] to access your payment method details.
- Click [Delete].
Using Prepaid or Debit Cards
Debit cards that function similarly to credit cards, or prepaid cards sold at convenience stores, may be accepted.
- An error will occur if the available balance on the card is less than the plan's payment amount.
- An authorization hold (pre-authorization) will be placed. Therefore, even during a free trial, your balance may temporarily decrease. Our system immediately cancels this hold, and the balance is typically restored within a few minutes to several days.
- Some cards may not be accepted.
- The "JCB PREMO Card" cannot be used as it is not designed to function like a credit card for online transactions.
- Some cards may require initial registration for online use.
Troubleshooting Credit Card Payment Failures
If your credit card payment fails, the following reasons may apply:
- Incorrect credit card information
- Please verify that the card number, expiration date, and CVC are entered correctly.
- The credit card has expired.
- The credit card's available credit limit is insufficient for the plan's payment amount.
If a payment fails, please update your credit card information.

Credit Card Payments
Downgrade to Free Plan Due to Payment Failure
If a payment fails, we will attempt the payment several times. If the payment fails multiple times, your account will automatically be downgraded to the Free plan. Even if your account is downgraded to the Free plan, you can re-subscribe to a Paid plan at any time.
Since SocialDog's Paid plans operate on a prepayment basis, the previously failed payment will not be re-attempted when you change back to a Paid plan.
