When posting fails or an error occurs
This document explains the causes and solutions when scheduled posts, scheduled reposts, or scheduled replies are not published at the specified time.
Check Scheduled Post Error Details
- Open [Posts] → [Scheduled Posts] to check for error details.
- When a post encounters an error, an email is sent to your registered SocialDog email address.
If an error is displayed, take the following actions according to the error details.
Common to All SNS Platforms

| Your SNS account is temporarily restricted. Please try again later. | Your SNS account has been suspended for some reason, or some functions are unavailable. | Please try posting again after a while. |
| Posting was not performed because the number of linked SNS accounts exceeded the limit. | The number of linked SNS accounts has exceeded the limit set for your plan.
This error may occur for scheduled posts created before canceling a paid plan. | Log in to SocialDog and, on the displayed screen, either upgrade your plan or delete unused SNS accounts from SocialDog.
Note: Deleting an SNS account from SocialDog will also delete scheduled posts and drafts associated with that account. |
X (formerly Twitter)

Please post on another day. | Due to X (formerly Twitter) specifications, there is a limit to the number of posts per day (for unverified accounts, typically up to 50 regular posts / 200 replies). | Change the post time and post on the following day or later. |
| An unknown error occurred during post processing. Please try again. | • Due to X (formerly Twitter) specifications, posts from private accounts cannot be reposted or quote posted.
• Posts whose content has been changed on X cannot be reposted or quote posted.

Instagram

| Posting failed because Instagram determined the content to be suspected spam. Please review the content and try posting again. | Instagram may have classified the post content as spam. | Correct the post content in accordance with the [Instagram Community Guidelines]. |
| The daily post limit for Instagram has been reached. Please post on another day. | Due to Instagram specifications, there is a limit to the number of posts that can be made using SocialDog per day (up to 25 posts per day). | Change the post time and post on the following day or later. |
| Your Instagram account is restricted. Please try logging into your Instagram account again and, if necessary, re-linking it to SocialDog. | Your Instagram account may be inactive or restricted for some reason. | Log in to Instagram and check what actions are required to lift the restriction.
After taking action, you will need to re-link your Instagram account from the [SNS Accounts] settings screen. |
| @tags exceed the limit. Please reduce the number of @tags to 20 or less and try posting again. | The number of @tags has exceeded the usable limit (20). | Reduce the number of @tags to 20 or less and try posting again. |
| The character limit for posts has been exceeded. | The character limit for posts (2,200 characters) has been exceeded. | Reduce the post content to 2,200 characters or less and try posting again. |
| The necessary permissions are not granted to the SNS account for posting. Please check the permissions. | SocialDog does not have the necessary permissions to post to Instagram. | Go to Facebook's [Business Integrations] page and click "View and edit" in the "SocialDog" row. On the screen that appears, grant the following permissions to the target Instagram account:

Threads

Check and Change Time Zone Settings
Posts may not be published if an incorrect time zone is set.
- Go to [Team Settings].
- Confirm that [Time Zone] is set to your current time zone. For Japan Standard Time, set it to (GMT+09:00) Asia/Tokyo.

Check Service Status
Posts may not be published if there is an outage on an SNS platform or SocialDog.
- Open SocialDog Status
- If an outage is occurring, please try posting again after the service has been restored.
