Set post content
This section explains how to configure post content on the "Create Post" screen.
Previewing Your Post (Browser Version Only)
On the right side of the "Create Post" screen, a preview of your post will be displayed for both "Smartphone" and "Desktop."
Click the "Smartphone icon" or "Desktop icon" in the upper right corner of the screen to switch between and view the respective previews.
About Media Post Previews on X
X (formerly Twitter) may select complex areas as thumbnails due to image recognition. Since SocialDog mechanically crops the center, the thumbnail display may differ from the actual post screen.
Selecting SNS Accounts for Posting
- Select the SNS accounts at the top to choose the destination accounts for your post.
Posting Simultaneously to Multiple SNS Accounts
- Multiple SNS accounts can be selected as destinations.
- Only one X (formerly Twitter) account can be selected. This is due to X's rules prohibiting posting identical content to multiple accounts.
- When multiple SNS accounts are selected, a "Common" tab will appear.
- In the "Common" tab, you can enter post content that will be shared across all selected accounts.
- Content entered in the "Common" tab will be reflected in all accounts.
- To change post content for individual accounts:
- Click on each account's tab to modify the post content.
- If you modify the content in an individual account's tab, the content from the "Common" tab will no longer be reflected, and a red circle icon will appear in the upper right of the account's icon.
- Clicking "Restore Common Content" will revert the state, allowing the "Common" tab's content to be reflected again.
If There Are Errors in Your Post Content
If there are errors in the text, image, or video content, a warning icon will appear on the SNS account's tab.
You cannot post content with errors. Regardless of errors, content can be added to drafts.
Attaching Media such as Images or Videos
You can attach and post media such as images or videos. Media can be attached using the following methods:
- Click the "Image icon."
- Drag and drop the image into the form.
- Paste the image while the form is open, after copying it to the clipboard.

Editing Images (PC Browser Only)
Simple image editing functions are available.
Resizing Images
- Click [Edit] on the uploaded image.

- Select the desired crop size from the left side of the screen, make adjustments, then click [Save] in the upper right corner of the screen.

Adding Text to Images
- Click [Edit] on the uploaded image.

- Click [A] on the left side of the screen to switch to the text input screen.
- Select the font, size, alignment, text color, background color, and line spacing, arrange the text, then click "Save."

Creating Threads (X (formerly Twitter), Threads)
If you want to divide a post or if the content exceeds the character limit, you can connect multiple posts in a thread format and schedule them.
- Click [Add Destination] or [+] to add an X (formerly Twitter) account or Instagram account as a posting destination.
- Click the [+] in the lower right corner of the text input field.
ℹ️
- You can post multiple items in a thread format, but you cannot change the post time for each individual thread.
- Threads cannot be created in the "Common" tab of the post creation screen. Please create them from the X (formerly Twitter) or Threads account tab.
Limitations Per Plan
- Number of scheduled thread posts that can be set simultaneously:
- Free plan: Up to 1 per SNS account
- Other plans: Unlimited
- Number of threads that can be added to one scheduled post:
- Maximum of 50
Adding a Poll (X (formerly Twitter))
- Click [Add Destination] or [+] to add an X (formerly Twitter) account as a posting destination.
- Click the [Poll] button.
- Enter responses (options) enclosed in quotation marks. You can enter 2 to 4 responses.
- Set the poll duration. You can set it from 5 minutes to 7 days. Voting begins from the time it is posted on X (formerly Twitter).
- Media cannot be included in polls.
- Poll results cannot be viewed on SocialDog.
Configuring Accounts That Can Reply (X (formerly Twitter))
- Click [Add Destination] or [+] to add an X (formerly Twitter) account as a posting destination.
- Click the [Accounts that can reply] (globe icon) button.
- Select which accounts can reply to your post from the following options:
- Everyone
- Accounts you follow
- Verified accounts
- Only accounts you @-posted
Scheduling Feed, Reels, and Stories Posts (Instagram)
On SocialDog, you can post to Instagram Feed, Reels, and Stories.
- Click [Add Destination] to add one Instagram account as a posting destination.
- Select [Post] or [Stories]. For Reels, select "Post" and upload a single video.
- Attach an image or video. For Stories, you can post one media file (image or video).
💡
- For information on supported image and video formats for Stories, please refer to Postable Content.
- If you post media with an aspect ratio different from the recommended (9:16), margins may be added or parts may be cropped on Instagram.
Tagging People (Instagram)
You can tag people in Instagram feed posts (images) or Reels posts (videos).
- Click [Add Destination] or [+] to add an Instagram account as a posting destination.
- Drag and drop the image you wish to upload, or click the [Media (image icon)] button to select an image.
- Click the [Tag People (person icon)] button.
- Click the location on the image where you want to tag.
- Enter the username you wish to tag. On SocialDog, you cannot search for and add users to tag.
- Click the [Add Tag] button. You can verify the account name by clicking the [View on Instagram (screen transition icon)] button. A maximum of 20 tags can be added.
- Click [Save].
💡 In feed posts containing multiple media, videos cannot be tagged.
